“Stone Walls of Seekonk” Featured Presentation at Annual Meeting
Our annual meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 29, at 6:30 PM, at the Seekonk Public Library, featuring keynote speaker, retired Brown University professor Rob Emlen. Professor Emlen studies the historical landscape of rural New England and will speak about the “Stone Walls of Seekonk.” These old stone walls were built by generations of traditional builders and farmers and include those bounding his historic home, the 1875 Solon Carpenter House.
In addition to Professor Emlen’s talk, President Tom Webb will give a brief presentation about the Land Trust and our work and accomplishments of the past year. He will also present the Annual Mary C. Wilson Community Conservation Award.
Light refreshments will be served.
